Otakon afterwards.
Otakon was sweet. Several really good live action movies. It seems live action is the high light of the con each year which is funny cause its suppose to be about anime. Asian people just know how to make good stuff. For instance, “Dog Bite Dog” this one guy wanders around a city after killing this woman for a whole night killing about 20 people then finding a new wife and going back to his home country. A few months later he has a show down with this other guy which involves them both dying, the mans wife dying and him giving his wife a C Section right there as they die. Quality writing.
Bumming around the con for three days was really stream lined this year. Me, Ian, and T really had it worked out from previous years. Tim seemed to have the only problems during it. He always seems lost and didn’t buy any food before hand so we would hear each day about how he didn’t have any food. Randomly he would whisper to one of us that he was going to find a sandwich and disappear. Communication doesn’t seem to be one of his strong points.
Part of the stream lined was staying at Ben’s Mom’s House. This gave us a large, free, and kitchen stocked house to live from.
Highlights:
- T yelling at Tim not to touch his floor
- T called the floor of Ben’s House right off and told him he was not allowed to touch it.
- Watching to Catch a Predator
- T specifically mentions how he is going to get on the show but get away
- Each Live Action Movie
- Each one was surprisingly a romantic comedy
- Black man throwing up after “Meatball Machine”
- Hide and Go Seek from Tim
- Pokeball
- Very large man who if he wore a red shirt, white pants, and a large belt buckle could have looked like a pokeball.
- Paper Moon
- Finding a girls cellphone
- Ben liked this a lot.
- Cutting / bypassing every line at the con.
- Even if we didn’t mean to we managed to wait in almost no lines
