Where’d your Tumblr name come from?
“60 Grit Beard” comes from using high grit sandpaper during industrial design to round out models. And then the beard is due to myself keeping a pretty impressive beard. Tumblr was mainly a way to keep track of things I find that I think are sweet, and later on became some place for friends to check out the various things I track down on the net.
“Hey, Nour…” comes from people asking me tons of questions, coming to me for help, etc. My tumblr was supposed to be a sort of answer to some of those questions (mainly: “Where do you find all this stuff you know?”).
“Tripping Over Life” comes from the fact that I am probably the world’s biggest klutz. On a day to day basis I drop things, knock things over, trip over anything, etc etc. It’s my metaphor for life. If something can go awry, it will, and then I’ll trip over it.
